Yesterday, the heart of Athens came alive with history, tradition, and celebration 🥰🏛️🏺🌿If you saw a troupe of Satyrs, Maenads, and Silenus winding through the streets of Plaka, you weren’t dreaming - you were witnessing the Phalliphoria 2026.This wasn’t just a parade, it was a deep dive into Ancient Greek roots. This ancient Dionysian custom - the Phallika - is the primal ancestor of Greek Comedy. By carrying the traditional symbols of fertility and singing songs, we celebrated the enthusiasm that bridges the gap between the ancient world and today.From the stairs of the Odeon of Herodes Atticus to the winding alleys of the historic center, we honoured the triumph of life and the coming of Spring. It was loud, it was ecstatic, and it was a powerful reminder that the Dionysian spirit is still very much alive in Greece. I have so much respect for the people responsible for this event.
