Definitive Hermetic Magic Art Preview
The concept that artist Doug Shuler gave me for this piece in Ars Magica Definitive Edition was "Hermetic Magi meet Hedge Wizards. The Hermetics look stately, refined, educated with their books and scrolls, whereas the hedge wizards have skins, spears, shields, facepaint. Everyone should be casters and I need to somehow show spells in use - maybe a Hermetic is levitating, and a hedge wizard has a glittering wolf companion? Real contrast in cultures."

I mentioned last time that the most essential and important part of the work of the Hermetic Synaxis is the Synodos, the regular support meeting intended to be held by groups of the Hermetic Synaxis (although members of multiple groups or independent practitioners can also do it if they want).

Here are two versions of the Muse Polyhymnia: "Cypher" from 1997 (since destroyed) and the more recent "Still" from this year (very much intact).

Hermetic Synaxis final review progress: 694/983 pages (48/71 chapters, 6/10 parts) done. The ritual scripts are done, with more improvements/adjustments for common template stuff across all scripts. There were more specific bits with the rituals compared to the offerings, but still easy to work on.

The first sculpture in this series was 'Museum" which was made of Mahogany and had 9 compartments containing objects representing the Olympian Muses crafted in black wax.
The choice of objects was inspired by the etymology of each Muse's name.

Groups ("hetaireiai") use something like congregational polity: every group is independent and autonomous, without mandatory oversight from any central governing body or other group.
