Learning from others is one thing; trying to be them is another (trying to find "right rules" (as if there are Olympic rules in hexcrawl writing)) is third). However much I might like other peoples' words I am not them.

I was actually thinking Forbidden Lands for its bigger hexcrawl focus and slightly higher complexity, but was wondering if there was a proper nicer fit.

its a little extra of me, but when i plan a campaign i like to give it it's own bespoke binder seperate from my basic dm binder, if said campaign is specifically themed. This one is for the Rankin Bass Christmas Hexcrawl; i need to get some gold decals to make it christmasy-er

This is the Legendary Edition of Game Stamps. It features artwork by the artist DARLENE, who illustrated the iconic map from the 1980 folio edition of the World of Greyhawk. The stamps were designed for hex maps and are mounted on hexagonal blocks.

Fail a search check in Hexcrawl and sometimes the thing you wanted was guarded. Your fumbling woke up whatever was watching it, and the fight starts on the spot.
Win the fight and you get the thing anyway, as loot. You didn't fail to find it — you failed to be quiet about it. 😆

Looking back, it was obvious, but I was so blinded by my desire to "run a hexcrawl" that I ended up using it in the wrong context.

I have now hosed out the tote on this crisp day, rinsed each plant individually, and put it all back. And then a cat darts outside, unleashed. I have now recaptured her. Finally, I am enjoying my coffee and am back to working on One More Adventure.
