We head up to the mountains today and start our spring goal hike Sunday morning! A Nor’easter blizzard just deposited half a foot of snow on the summits. Wish us luck and passable trails…dry feet are too much to even hope for! 😆🏔️🤞🏻

What we did this morning, in a brief window of early morning cool. Our fifth annual Welch-Dickey Loop required a 4am departure to be hiking by 6:15 and back in the car by 9. Ready for cold weather!

Whole lotta dog butts lately. We took a quick mountain day trip today up Mount Hale via Zealand, Twinway, Lend-a-Hand, and Hale Brook trails—8.2 miles including the 0.8mi road walk to close the loop. (I/II)

It was a slog down but we were cruising. So funny to run into skiers from Stowe who cut over into the woods to enjoy the fresh powder—traffic near the base! We weren’t sad to get back to the dry car full of snacks
