Today, Mum decided she needes to feel some snow under her her flippers, so she climbed Ben Vorlich. It wasn't easy, but she made it all the way to the top!

First fat roll the Holga 120WPC gave me. Light leaks galore! Used a change bag ever since.

Meall na Fearna 24/3/25 What a morning! Grand view of Ben Vorlich and Stùc a' Chròin, Fantastic bog fest 😂 Mild until the summit when we were blasted by freezing wind. #scotland #Corbetts #corbetteering #scottishhighlands #mountains #hills #hillwalking #hillwalkingscotland

Scottish mountains in the spring sunshine are really up there with almost anywhere in the world, and you can reach the closest of them within an hour's drive from the city.

Me up a hill, a long time ago. Looking down at a loch that had just appeared when the mist blew away, I remember. #cairngorms #hillwalkingscotland #hills #walking #time

Above the empty Sutherland moorlands, Ben Klibreck is a big whale of a mountain. Peat bogs, high winds, low cloud, and rain meant it was hiding today. The summit trig point is shattered, presumably by lightning.

Had a really good day today. Went hillwalking, rounded off a couple of edits and one of my authors has been approached by a big mover and shaker in the publishing world. My fingers are crossed for him.

Suilven - an iconic mountain. Despite its spectacularly jagged exterior, it commands a modest summit at 731m. That said the climb is demanding yet achievable and fairly straightforward. Breathtaking panoramic views from the top and uninterrupted stretches of unspoiled wilderness. Ps a long walk in!

The Cobbler, also known as Ben Arthur. I tend to avoid it now as it’s too popular; however on this day is was deserted bar me and three other people. 😁

A morning's walk up Broad Law, the highest point in the Scottish Borders. At 2755 feet it's classed as a Corbett, but the summit is cluttered with weird air traffic control paraphernalia for Edinburgh Airport. If I was counting Corbetts (I'm not) this would be number 30/222. #hillwalkingscotland
