A lovely way to end the year – my medal and certificate for my HMGS Legion of Honor award have just arrived. (Yes, it was awarded in January 2023, but it seems the admin took a while!)

How's the HMGs OPSEC? Clean?
NEW: The UK Government accidentally leaked internal emails on the Huntingdon train stabbing to The National.

Finished these Regia Esercito Bersaglieri lads for Flames of War. I sculpted little feather clusters for their helmets which I think looks pretty neat!

Platoons 1 and 2 based up. Tragic miscounting of riflemen means I'll need to put in another order... may as well chuck in some Bedfords and a few more 6 pdrs, 3 inch mortars and HMGs as well. All clouds have silver linings etc...

A few cracking pics sent to me by Brad Schaive in the US, where he is currently running the Battle of Bosworth using Midgard Heroic Battles rules at the Fall In convention. Great to see such a stunning layout and congrats on the prize from HMGS! #nerdlings #miniatures #wargaming #spreadthelard

There should be more sex in games!
I wanna see more romances where the characters have sex as part of the story, like BJ Blazkowics and Anya in Wolfenstein The New Order finding a moment of human connection between the bloodshed, instead of sex being cordoned off for prudishness.

Watching people freak out about 'tar pit' Totenkorps units is a weird one. Like, my dudes. It's Konflikt '47. How many HMGs are there kicking around in an army now? Walker-mounted MGs don't halve their shots either, and most of them are packing HMGs too. They can't capture/hold objectives, either!

I remember on TMP & the few times I attended HMGS-E cons, encountering a certain type of American gamer who'd proudly declare they'll never play the British becuz Imperialism.
I wonder what they're thinking right now?
