제가 종사하는 쪽이 인프라 건설 쪽이라 대강 말씀드리자면,
캐나다는 대도시들도 인프라가 다 그닥 좋지 않아요. 일단 인구에 비해서 면적이 너무 커서 그런듯. 왜냐면 걷는 세금은 너무나 한정적이고 예산이 쓰여져야하는 인프라는 너무 많으니까. 토론토는 더 오래된 도시라 특히 더 안좋다고 느꼈던 거 같네요. 에글링턴 라인이나 Hwy407프로젝트를 했었을 때도 주위 인프라가 허접했다는 느낌을 받았는데 사실 밴쿠버도 뭐... 쩜쩜쩜입니다.

FYI, the missing link is a separate proposal to build a brand new freight line across west GTA in the Hwy407 alignment to divert trains off CN Halton (Kitchener) and CPKC Galt towards CN York. But with an agreement reached with CN, it makes less sense to do the missing link for one railway only.
