Another flatworm! Not based on a real species this time; I just wanted to try one using this lovely ombre yarn I have - and give it an EXPONENTIALLY INCREASING WIBBLE

[ #crochet #amigurumi #worm #flatworm #platyhelminthes #hyperboliccrochet #commsopen ]

A crocheted flatworm with very wibbly sides and two horn-like points at the front. Its colours are a gradient, starting purple in the very middle, then shifting through dark blue, turquoise, mid green and finally light green at the very edges. Subsequent photos show the same flatworm from different angles and with different wibble poses.

Crochet palate cleanse!

#Crochet #HyperbolicCrochet

A pic of hyperbolic crochet which produces a curly effect. I made this using rows of white, lilac, purple and edged in bright green,so that each ‘curl’ contains the multiple colours.

Finished my crochet coral board using multiple techniques and yarns 🧶. Since I am incapable of not including mixed media elements I added some mesh tube and beadwork.

The yarn I am using for hyperbolic crocheting is taking on similar colorways as the piece expands.

Here are some nice mushrooms

A family of large, thin, purple false turkey tail mushrooms grow from side of a mossy log. Their gradient shelves are ringed with rows of fine fuzzy hairs. All photos by me

My son thought my other #hyperboliccrochet were too uniform (boring) so I’m creating this Frankenstein. Maybe I’ll finish it when he’s 18. He’s currently 11.
