#hypothyroidism
"Hypothyroidism is more common in women, who are 5 to 9 times more likely to be affected than men. The prevalence increases with age, particularly among women over 60, where nearly 15% may have subclinical hypothyroidism."

He has Autoimmune gastritis and Hypothyroidism, so do I, and it is not fatal. It does make one more prone to stomach cancer however.

#Hashimoto's #thyroiditis (chronic autoimmune thyroiditis) is increasingly referred to and tends to be viewed as a single #autoimmune disease with variable clinical & morphological expression

My levothyroxine will be covered by Humana if I get a prior authorization from a primary yearly.

So many women. So much control. About 20 million people in the US have hypothyroidism.

Not SUPER significant... I'm also not super smart with anything on the molecular level, so every article I read about subclinical hypothyroidism sounds like gibberish so I couldn't even tell you how exactly it effects thyroid to start lol

Hmmmmmm OK so tea can have a negative impact on absorption of thyroid stimulating hormone, triiodothyronine, and thyroxine, reducing absorption of thyroid drugs, but Triiodothyronine is produced by the body and can be the source of hypothyroidism

Here's what the study found:

• Subclinical hypothyroidism caused insulin resistance EQUAL to full-blown hypothyroidism

Ugh, I'm sorry. I got hypothyroidism after getting pregnant with my first. Maybe we can swap half our thyroids to make this shit work.

I've just had to explain the connexions between stress fractures to bones and hypothyroidism to someone who knows and loves me. To strangers on the intertubes? I think not.

I need you to hear this. Researchers studied people with obvious hypothyroidism AND people with "subclinical" hypothyroidism, where thyroid hormones appear normal but TSH runs slightly high.

formerly used to describe a person with congenital hypothyroidism, a condition resulting in stunted physical growth and severe intellectual disability due to an untreated deficiency of thyroid hormones during fetal development.

I find myself not often talking about my disabilities. alongside AuDHD, anxiety and depression, I also have hypothyroidism which can lead to fatigue. this sometimes means an inconsistent stream schedule. I'm still learning how to not wear myself too thin at times

Why are my fingers so cold? At first we thought it was because my iron levels were low. Well I raised my iron levels. No longer borderline anemic. Fingers are still cold. We don't know why. Also no hypothyroidism, diabetes, Raynaud's syndrome, or smoking. My mom is the same. Could be genetic.

morning not night & am at 4mg which is definitely helping. I also suspect I my Hashimoto’s disease may be progressing to hypothyroidism (awaiting blood results), so that might also be why I’m feeling such a positive impact as it is helping both issues.

NHS doesn't make much sense for some chronic conditions. I get free prescriptions because of hypothyroidism but asthmatics don't, odd.
October 26, 2026 at 2:48 PM
This isn't some rare condition. Subclinical hypothyroidism affects millions who have no idea. They're gaining weight, feeling exhausted, and being told nothing is wrong.
