Let me say it out loud -
virtually all the scenarios I am familiar with (Svalbard, Finnmark, Gotland, Utens-Dauganspils-Ignalina, Brest-Siedlce-Minsk Mazowiecki-Warsaw, even Suwalki) are scenarios that are a real, absolutely realistic threats after the war in Ukraine is over.

My only take where I turn into a frothing Eurosceptic is that the EU made Lithuania close Ignalina NPP, an actual tangible harm to our energy independence to an insane tune, but this is also mitigated by the fact that if worst comes to worst we can turn it into a dirty bomb.

The score was recorded inside Ignalina, the closed down twin-plant of Chernobyl, and it's so eerie and effective and well done. And agreed on the characters, my heart is also still breaking for Sitnikov (the guy they force up to the roof in ep1) 😥

Hauptattraktion von Visaginas 🇱🇹 ist natürlich das Atomkraftwerk Ignalina bzw. die Reste davon. Ich habe mir ein Velo gemietet und bin dorthin gefahren, das wird wohl der nächste Blogbeitrag ..

Hauptattraktion von Visaginas 🇱🇹 ist natürlich das Atomkraftwerk Ignalina bzw. die Reste davon. Ich habe mir ein Velo gemietet und bin dorthin gefahren, das wird wohl der nächste Blogbeitrag ..
...und für die Grenz-Bubble! Das AKW Ignalina liegt nämlich sehr nah am Dreiländereck 🇱🇹🇱🇻🇧🇾, wobei vor allem die belarussische Grenze momentan problematisch ist. Nach mehreren eindringlichen Schildern getraute ich mich nicht weiter.

Man hatte übrigens 1983 bei der Inbetriebnahme der Reaktoren Ignalina (heutiges Litauen) und Tschernobyl Block 4 den positiven Void-Koeffizienten bemerkt und _da_ hätte bei den Technikern alle Alarmglocken klingeln müssen.

Guten Morgen Bluesky, Netanyahu hat gesagt der Tod von Sinwar sei der Anfang vom Ende des Krieges. Wenn dem so wäre, wäre das auch auf andere Kriege übertragbar? Plastikmüll aus Norwegen soll demnächst auf dem Gelände des Ex AKW Ignalina verarbeitet werden.
