An implicit critique of Thatcherism - as too much about markets and economics, and/or a claim that the challenge now is tougher.

The right's global electoral success is owed in no small part to an implicit and sometimes explicit international cooperation and it's ludicrous that western liberal parties fundamentally reject the premise of doing the same.

The girlfriend seems concerned about how the bigotry is coming across to the interviewer and piece but I didn't see any evidence that she isn't in implicit or even explicit agreement with Diana behind closed doors

Had I known there was this weird implicit hierarchy between transfems depending on how much time they've been on HRT I would have probably never gone all the way with the pills.

2025: Young PRC Scholars Discuss AI and Society – Art, Politics, Relationships
This October 2025 conference of young Chinese scholars based both outside and inside China covered many topics related to AI influence on society. Topics included: Human relationships including the implicit power of technological system like China's Blued gay social networking app that actively structures who becomes visible to whom, what users know about each other, and how they evaluate possible partners,

The nation-state does indeed provide a framework for the nations continued existence, but that function cannot justify the prior existence of the nation. Implicit circular reasoning here.
"What then is the meaning of Zionism? It is just producing a framework for Jewish existence" (Yeshayahu Leibowitz, 1976)

Unacceptable to the Green Party membership, apparently.

i usually make things "immediate mode" whenever i can get away with it. sometimes it's the position and visibility of a button. sometimes a whole particle system is made stateless because it's cheap enough and saves me some headache. whenever i can make something implicit cheaply, i will.

and even if a country did have that right (obviously bullshit, and meaningless), the barely-implicit "as an ethnostate [that necessarily depends on permanent ethnic cleansing to maintain that status]" is a very different question

...to the interpretation of the motion. As drafted, it has the potential to create an atmosphere of targeted scrutiny & implicit loyalty tests for Jewish members (emboldening some to question the groups people belong to, or how or where they worship). Even the implication of this is unacceptable.

Yeah having an LLM write all the rust for you and not actually learning it makes it very easy to violate the implicit contract between rust and the programmer that creates all the good stuff and safety guarantees that we use rust for.

guys.... dont listen to implicit demand for proof while staring out a plane window on a gray gloomy rainy day......

As I’ve written elsewhere, if you pride yourself on your intelligence and discernment, one very important reason to be aware of societal and your own implicit biases is that it keeps you from saying ahistorical, easily falsifiable, or just plain stupid shit.

"He could have killed him" is extremely dehumanizing to will smith.
And racist.
"He was an animal" is the missing implicit first sentence.

Pondering a bit more, I wonder how much of the churn around this paper stems from the focus on “meaning” in the discussion of LLM output.

Not being in linguistics/humanities, I’m unsure if folks generally have a precise definition of “meaning” in mind.

Whereas most folks online… don’t… 🙃

From a history of technology standpoint, we're seeing the introduction of a reporting tool into a workflow where the "data" was implicit or in ad-hoc models.

LLMs allow software engineers to "see" connections in their data, i.e. the semantics of the code, they've never been able to spot.

Occurs to me there's a subtle implicit bias in architecture studio curriculums where they teach skills analogous to carpentry and framing, in the form of physical model-making, but not by default any skills relating to other trades like electrical, plumbing or HVAC work.

literally stuff between the lines with explicit vs implicit

or conscious vs autonomic / unconscious

is the entire space of the problem, the problem-space !

still rife with massive implicit assumptions.

How can you suggest that I might like and respect a violently racist misogynist?
October 4, 2026 at 5:49 PM
I've no doubt this is generating heated reactions, bc your framing has a massive implicit (flawed) assumption that both sides are interested in learning and possibly evolving as a result of the conversation.
Problem is, one side is close-minded & gleefully eager to dehumanize and destroy the other.

the more i think about it, the more i realize that the biggest problem facing the white left is that it's obvious that a lot of them have made, quite literally, zero effort to unlearn shit like the implicit racial biases that they ended up absorbing as part of their general upbringing and culture

I do think that "Graeber is the 21st century's biggest monster" is a bit overdrawn (because there is demand for something like "Bullshit Jobs" that would have been supplied anyway), but it's not totally wrong. Implicit or explicit in all AI scenarios is a confident incuriosity in what jobs even are.
More fuel for the thesis "coders think AI can do everything because AI can code and they can't imagine anything being more difficult than coding"
