Wooooo. £96 in royalties! Might be a few years’ worth as I forgot to update my banking details. 🤷‍♂️

In case you’re interested in #econgeog, #infratructure, #regstud and #facetoface I still think we got most of it right by taking the long view: bristoluniversitypress.co.uk/why-face-to-...

I mean what did you expect?

Those "protestors" are burning down entire civilian infratructure all over the place.

Do you think police then just gives em a ticket or something?

I mean, c'mon.

👨🏿‍💻🤳🏿Ukraine still playing by the rules, even at the expense of their own people. If I had any say key areas of that country's infratructure would be in ruins.

Not a big fan of the privatisation of government services and infratructure.

A government is better at delivering some things even if it requires "subsidization". That's what our taxes are for investing in.

Handing it to profit seekers not a long term win.

If these actually happen, could take decades. It's not just about rebuilding structures and burning sage, though these could help as well. It's about building/rebuilding infratructure. Restoring departments and funding too.

Oh, I see the point you're making, I misread you. You're correct, a limited invasion that just seizes northern resources is likely even most cost-effective, although I think the *absolute profit* of e.g. seizing the population centres and infratructure in Saskatchewan that control potash is large.

It's floodin down in Texas
All the telephone lines are down
Because republicans killed FEMA
and are shit for infratructure.
It’s an election year for Tx Gov. Abbott. This is why he is acting like he cares whether Texans drown in a flood.

Had a chat with someone I know involved in weapon systems design and she, yes she (it's not all men), said that their current development programme is on hold and being reviewed because the networking infratructure involved is now considered vulnerable to hijacking by AI agents. That's the reality.

On my first visit back to the UK from Nederland in a while, I saw a bloke with a work bag over his back, riding a drop handlebar bike at the side of the road, potholes & drain covers, trucks with tyres higher than him, driving past him at speed & realised how crap the infratructure is. Scary!

Cars are breaking bones, lives (via deaths), infratructure (traffic lights, utility poles, guard rails), fronts of buildings and houses, laws, wallets.
* most of these are done by the people behind the wheel of cars.
"If you ever wonder why your taxes go up, but you’re getting less service, look no further than this."

This article is just straight misinformation. Property taxes are going up everywhere in Canada explicitly because of car infrastructure.

Big buildings without proper governance and planning of infratructure, schools, community centres, transit is not gonna work either.

A clear plan to build mid-rise pockets across the city with proper infrastructure planning is what needs to happen.

Not stupid density spikes.

i sent my anti-data center wife who was very disappointed in hong's loss the video where crowley lays out his 5 point data center regulation plan (they pay for 1. electricity 2. grid upgrades 3. infratructure and 4. build onsite clean energy and 5. no NDAs with locals) and she was like "i like it👍"
it’s pretty frustrating how all of the dumbest leftists on Twitter are boosting the Tiffany campaign’s deceptive clipping to get points against Crowley

too tired for a thread but a major city with heavy winters needs functioning municipal infratructure and more communal housing structures to be feasible. So east coast/midwest cities innately learn to trust government is necessary and that immigrants/others are chill. Thus subarus. Thus DSA.

This particular post is actually highlighting how poor infratructure is for cyclists. The positioning and orientation of the parking stand is dangerous and will cause accidents, let alone create a hazard when using the parking bay. Imagine a parent with 3 children on bikes trying to use this space.

With energy demand on the rise, it's clear that the best way to have a reliable, affordable electricity system is to speed up deployment of clean energy and transmission infratructure. Clean energy is affordable, reliable energy! Delay is the greatest risk we face. www.climatesolutions...

👏Thank you for your service. There is nothing more direct then meeting with those with power of the purse. We all need to stay engaged with these people, letting them know how important the science infratructure and training pipelines are to the economic superiority of the States.

The USA work only possible due to the investment by DOE and NIH. The fact that the current admin wants to demolish the world's best research infratructure is done at the cost of US dominance of the innovation space and medical progress. Contact your local reps and let them know to stop it!

Joe Manchin far more responsible for the "Bipartisan Infratructure Bill" than passive Biden or invisible Harris.
Manchin, a moderate and the adult in the room, skillfully decoupled the Infrastructure Bill from the $3.5 trillion BBB social welfare monster, which he (thankfully) eviscerated.

And if you consider all indirect subsidies, it gets a lot worse. You need to realize basically all our car infratructure is a giant subsidy to fossil fuels.
