#institutions
For those who believe - as I do - that the institutions of this economy depend on the institutions of this democracy, last night was a very good start on the long road back.

67% of Michigan Jews voted for Abdul

To all the legacy institutions who tried to play them for chumps- you lost

Country music and SEC football are lib institutions now.
What you haters didn’t realize was that the record chart topping streak of Choosin Texas was a SIGN

Highly underrated but important point: we need to populate government and institutions with left leaning people who believe in institutions, science, etc.

I think that so many elite institutions and people with important jobs staying on X persuaded many of them the median american voter was a greek statue avatar hailing the thousand year trumpenreich and complaining about race mixing bsky.app/profile/sara...
lmao at all the tech billionaires who saw 2024 and went "mandate???" and tied themselves and their entire fucking industries inextricably to a sinking ship

Probably should not take advice from people in institutions that IMMEDIATELY capitulated and collaborated with the fascists. This includes pundits and reporters in media.
November 5, 2026 at 3:59 PM
My fear is that it wasn't capitulation, it was agreement. And we are going to have a long battle ahead wresting institutions back from the brink.
The absolute shellacking Republicans are taking makes the prior two years of capitulation by so many powerful people and organizations look even more pathetic

Many people, institutions, and companies sacrificed their integrity because they thought Trump’s power grab was inevitably going to succeed and he’d be the American Orban.

Don’t forget their names.

we’re not a monolith but if we were it’s in the opposite direction of what those institutions want people to think!

Am thinking about all of the institutions that wagered that my trust or yours didn't really matter.
We'll end this with my unending goose meme

peculiar, these institutions
Our nation has a lot of load bearing euphemisms

Too many institutions have capitulated to the fascist regime, but the federal district courts have overperformed in defense of freedom.
BREAKING: A judge in Alaska has thrown out the Trump administration's lawsuit seeking to delay certification of the Senate election if GOP incumbent Dan Sullivan loses.

I want our Comparative Race and Ethnic Studies department back. And Women and Gender Studies.

There was so much damage done to institutions that will take real effort to be restored.

The persistent truth of America is that our institutions are not aligned to our popular will. That is as true yesterday as it will be tomorrow. We have to grapple with that truth, define it, set the conditions for massive structural change in 2029.

Reject this framing. It's not about revenge. It was never about revenge. It is about minimal protection of democratic institutions and ensuring that there are steps for removing people from office who have objectively demonstrated that they seek to undermine those democratic processes & institutions
man, the funniest thing about "now is not the time for revenge" is that revenge is probably the lowest common denominator in the big tent. like it'll be real work to get the libs and socialists to agree on affordability policies.

everyone's cool with revenge, though

What now?? Everybody leading any of those institutions needs to be tossed out on their asses.

Religious institutions should not be running hospitals or schools.

Betrayed by so many institutions and institutional leaders, the American people have had to save themselves from a consolidating autocracy. Yesterday, they did so. Those cowardly institutions and leaders - in politics, law, media, higher ed, biz - best get themselves on the right side of history.

United with one voice, the young men of America have demanded that the dominant, suffocating woke culture be reinstated in all major entertainment and academic institutions---or else.

As ever, when observing the reports of the Hunger Games that is trying to vote in the US election, I remain thankful for the AEC.

Protect valuable public institutions with all your might.

After months of concerns about potential disruption, Americans made their voices heard. Our democratic institutions proved resilient.

A free, fair, peaceful—even boring—election. That's a victory for democracy.

GM. There’s never been a better time for the institutions that make up civil society to take back the agency they surrendered to a few tech platforms.
