I had the Slow Game Club explained to me recently and it’s the sweetest idea I’ve heard in a while 🥲
Forty quid for the year, you get a new game every month, and all the money goes to IntoGames, to give working class people in the UK better access to careers in game dev.

So I complete agree with this generally and I love IntoGames and what they do... But I think this argument is predicated on the assumption that the only "proper" way to make games is full-time and that irks me. That's been bullshit for at least a decade, and is definitely bullshit now.

The UK games industry has had a huge class problem since its inception. Private school kids with generational wealth were first through the door and overwhelmingly hired people from similar backgrounds. www.bbc.com/news/article...
