Thus the war on atheistic Bolsheviks, that included anyone who dared to confront the rise to continental power by the fascist reich.

Isolationalism from the 1945 UN Charter & (DEI) Universal Declaration of Human Rights

A new world empire, a Natural Rights Order from Greenland to the Falklands.

that's the fundamental divide between DSA left and right, much more than campism. that the United States could not have just hegemony so isolationalism is the more morally responsible option vs 'but what if'
something we of the DSA right generally believe, and get a lot of shit for, is that a properly democratic United States could be that force for global liberation. but it's impossible for it to do that when we have our relationship with israel and the gulf states. just bare-faced hypocrisy.
the rosy recall of that internationalism in contrast to western capitalist imperialism is just that, but there were moments (Angola) where the communist world was on the side of global liberation (there was also the invasion of Afghanistan)

Well it’s “ambient isolationalism” apparently, and a UK based genre so…. 😉🤪

Ten years ago I was light-heartedly wearing a Holland shirt to vote in vain against hatred, dumb isolationalism, xenophobia and what would inevitably turn into a colossal waste of time and money.

America First isolationalism, the hatred of Europe comes from European liberalism, Wokeness & DEI; not putting Christianity on top & b/c they're unAmerican.

Trump's Tariffs is not protectionism, it's rejection of "Globalism"

Isolationalism is not good for the U.S.

"The U.S. administration has suggested that the troop withdrawal was meant to punish German Chancellor Friedrich Merz for criticizing Washington’s Iran policy. But in fact it punishes the pro-American German middle class"

Isolationalism, which is what the OP is advocating, means that we become a backwater country and some other country then dominates the world. It means the empire falls and we all become poorer. Beware of what you're asking for.

USA, you have a choice.

Either you blow up the planet, or you learn to live with the rest of us; 8+BLN people. Isolationalism does NOT exist.

YOUR choice.

For me, MAGA will end with 2 fatal flaws. 1) The everyman of populism means everyone is empowered, but the non-elite empowered are so much more inclined to failure due to experience. 2) The comfort of rigidity is killing it, EX: Championing isolationalism, then now nothing but entanglements, not US.

Lindsey Graham flirting with the concept of isolationalism when at his late age isolation means having a bad fall in the bathroom and being unable to reach the telephone
Lindsey Graham says he spoke to President Trump today and he's furious at NATO allies not wanting to help the U.S. in Iran.

"I have never heard him so angry in my life," Graham says.

Last year, Republicans faced Trump's wrath if they pushed back on his isolationalism.

This year they are getting in trouble for opposing his foreign intervention.

What will next year bring?

I guess "no boots on the ground" isolationalism doesn't count when it comes to Israel

Isolationalism never benefits the people.

It does benefit the elites, oligarchs & ilk -greatly.

There's zero freedom in isolationalism.

USA is known for this - not the first time isolationalism rules there. That is why they didn’t enter WWII until they were attacked at home at Pearl Harbour

I want to amplify this.
USA's ultra-far-right tech BLNs want to promote isolationalism (since that makes it easier for them to own your country), but our main refugee problem in Europe comes from 2 sides:

ruzZia paying people to cross our borders & ask asylum.
USA's War on Terror.

USA & ruzZia.
Do not forget how many refugees are caused by ruZZia, intentionally. And sent to Europe by them. It adds up.

No. Simply put, 9/11 fucked the US up bad. If you look at the politics and social society, thing have been going down hill since then. The bully got punched and still can't believe it. So they just doubled down. Isolationalism is the new religion so if anyone steps out of line, they go crazy.

Despite their facade of isolationalism and 19th century “spheres of influence” foreign policy, the messaging and propaganda of the international Conservative movement is remarkably uniform and uniformly ridiculous.
With the BBC under fire for a fresh editing scandal, Private Eye has sought the opinions of a famously balanced political commentator, Boris Johnson...

The US is moving to isolationalism and hegemony over what they perceive to be their, 'western hemisphere'. Europe can propel them along in that direction. It's also an opportunity for a coup in Russia to remove Putin and put in a european leaning govt. in his place.

I guess this is what true American Isolationalism really looks like.
