So much bad street design. Lisbon St is 5-6 lanes, wedged between 2 major arterials (Imperial & Jamacha) that feed into 2 freeways (805&125). Of course cars use it as a thru-street - it looks like a highway. But it’s mostly SF residential! The bike lanes are not the main problem.

i lived in san diego for almost a year before the morning team told me they fed me the wrong pronunciation of jamacha when i first got there.
