it took a while but v1.1.0 of wispctl is out. it stores your oauth session into your OS's keystore and keys it per directory so you wont have to re-login for as long as the session lasts (dependent on your PDS impl). I tested it extensively but lemme know if its still broken

I still think there's a nonzero chance that someday Twitter just fully disappears forever because somebody accidentally nuked the keystore and Elon cut the restore-from-offline-keys path as "waste"

This is *very* easy to brute force - one guess takes around 0.2 seconds on my (not very fast) laptop, on a reasonable GPU you could absolutely run 1000 in parallel in less time than that. If Twitter owns the keystore, I see no way to argue Twitter couldn't obtain the secret material.

The trick is to use the built-in crypto functions using the hardware backed keystore or keychain to sign the login attempts, then wipe the local data if the login limit is reached. Just make sure you use a new signing key to sign for each login attempt.

Okay, so I've mentioned before that the legacy Xamarin/.NET MAUI developer at my job got fired for some of the sloppiest code I've ever seen, but now the Play Store is saying, "Hey, your apps are old. Update them." Would be simple if the dude saved the keystore credentials anywhere... BUT,,,
