If you like Uber and Lyft's idea of operating an unlicensed taxicab service that says it doesn't actually employ its drivers and takes no responsibility for them, you'll *love* this unlicensed armed guard company.

In a hearing, the state argued KingBrown was putting the public at risk because there was no guarantee his unlicensed company was using trained armed drivers. "A private security company operating without a license poses an extreme risk to the public," Assistant Attorney General Griffin Ingraham warned the judge.

"It’s extremely hard," he admitted. Is that why he created the rideshare business model instead? "Not necessarily," said KingBrown.

Why is MTG using illegal armed security not a story?

Not only is the company not a licensed security company but its CEO had his personal private security license suspended by a court.

I love that they added this detail, because in the other story I've seen it's like "he failed it multiple times". Specificity FTW!
KingBrown faces a $500 fine for each day he continues to operate. In her order, the judge wrote KingBrown failed the required security company exam six times, the last one in March of this year.
