Green-orange Candelaria lichen looks like wet lettuce. There are grains along the edge of the lobe (or leaf part of lettuce).

"Asama Kogen Heights", Gunma and Nagano Prefecture.
The Asama Kogen Heights is an area located primarily at the northern foot of Mount Asama. This pennant features numerous tourist destinations.
Length 60cm (23.6in). Circa 1970s or 1980s. #vintage
1. The Asama Kogen Heights pennant. It features an illustration printed on black fabric and is trimmed with yellow fringe. The pennant comes in its original clear vinyl bag and includes a paper tag. The tag is labeled “Deluxe Pennant” (orange, white) in cursive English letters. 2. The illustration depicts a broad map of the area along the former JNR Shinetsu Line, centered on the route between Karuizawa Station and Komoro Station, and features numerous local landmarks. Although the title is “Asama Kogen Heights,” there are also many references to the Komoro area. 3. Close-up of the illustration. The map depicts the former JNR Shinetsu Line from Karuizawa Station to Komoro Station. The view of Mount Asama is shown on the map. Inside six square frames are Takamine Heights, Asama Ranch, Onioshidashi (traces of a lava flow), Kaikoen Garden, Karuizawa, and a thatched watermill. Lyrics from the folk song “Komoro Mago-uta” (the Horse Handler's Song): “Leave Komoro and look—on Mount Asama, three plumes of smoke rise again this morning.” 4. The title is in Japanese. It reads “Asama Kogen Heights” (in red) in brush-style kanji. A commemorative date field (year, month, and day, in white) is located at the right edge of the flag.
