a gpose of a fair skinned and haired person. they are splashed red with lighting coming from somewhere, and framed by a decorative guillotine. on her left and right there are two spectres covered by white sheets. the light makes the guillotines silver, and the red bleeds into their engravings. the figure in the middle looks almost defiantly at the viewer, though half her face is obscured. their hands are dyed red by the light. a trick, or a symptom of bloodied hands?

In the bottom frame of the image, Gilenoux Bleuives (he/him) and Sumire Awashima (she/they) napping on the forest floor. Gilenoux is on his back, and Sumire is on their side. The two of them are close together, with their hands gently laid on top of each other, resting on Gilenoux's chest. They both wear soft smiles on their dozing faces. The two of them are surprisingly comfortable with one another. In the top frame, there are two translucent figures - Gilenoux (age 12) and his late best friend Augustaine. The two of them are in a pose similar to the current day Gilenoux and Sumire, with Augustaine's hand on Gil's shoulder, and Gilenoux's head resting on August's bent arm. They both are wearing matching grins on their faces, eyes squeezed shut in joy. Sunlight filters through the canopy of leaves above these figures, though the memory of the young ones are mostly in shadow. The light dapples Gilenoux and Sumire, especially on their hands. The two of them are content in this moment, despite the turbulence of their lives. They have found in one another something important, something necessary - a friend.

an edited gpose. the main subject is a pale skinned, pale haired feminine hyur. over them is the dark shadow of a man, features completely obscured in the darkness. his hand is firmly at her side, preventing her from going anywhere. her gaze is intense and fixed, but unreadable. she is overlayed on the right of the darkness of the figure, with chunks of darkness taken out of her at the chest, lower body, legs and arms. her face is missing completely. on the left, a text exerpt - 'it is not enough for man to eclipse you. man must bite (repeated until next line) and man must chew upon you. but man will be unsatisfied. man will spit you out. man will feed again despite this. man will swallow. swallow (repeated until the word is cut off by the image ending)' chunks of the text repeat across the image, blurred or twisted until only 'bite' and 'swallow' remain.

Two women, both garbed in travelling attire yet also adorned with fine jewelry of certain signicance, stand poised to fight. Sumire, a Doman midlander hyur woman with light hair, horns, and a tail, focuses intently. She holds no weapon nor magical focus yet she stands unbothered, her stance firm, her hands tenderly grasping at the space around her. Meanwhile, Bari, a raen au ra woman with auburn hair and green eyes, stands defiantly and armed with an ornate glaive. Despite her small frame, Bari seems completely capable to wielding the weapon. Her face is mostly obscured with a hood and a monstrous mask which covers her mouth. Meanwhile, motes of aether and a swarm of blue butterflies gather around them. --- The attack was sudden. An "attack" might even be a stretch. Upon hearing the faintest snapping of branches, Sumire began to act. Bari could feel the air tense around them and the familiar wails and songs of gwishin and kami. Bari knew what havoc could be wrought by such primal magic, not only to the bandits who were only sizing up what seemed like easy pickings but also to Sumire's own mind and body. Bari quickly put on a bronze mask. Underneath, Bari smiled the dokkaebi's smile. She spoke his words and her body moved in his practiced ways. Bari always played with him and laughed at his jokes the most. All she asked was to beat up the ugly meanies before their friend hurt herself. Let's make it fun, she said. How many mean bandits can you beat up before our friend wakes up? How funny would it be for you to finish her job before she even wakes up? He thought to himself: bandits are no fun after all, they scare away all the children in the morning and the funny drunkards at night. With all the ringing around him. he could tell that even the old ones were not happy with the bandits. As he swiftly shut up all the crying and screaming bandits, he wondered why Bari's friend looked so much like the old ones.

Ryu is lounging on one of the chairs surrounding the pool. Krieg approaches the edge of the pool with Miririn in his arms. Sumire can still be seen in the background with the drink propped on her head. "Sorry for the delay, what can I help with?" Ryu responds, "'Tis no trouble at all. You are timely as ever, even when there is no rush for us..." Krieg lifts up his glasses as he places Miririn on solid ground. She begins running towards Ryu with a big smile on her face and Ryu holds her hands out to grab the little girl. "I believe it wise for Miririn to have a small reprieve from the sun. Perhaps even indulge in a small treat since we find ourselves with ample time for relaxation?" Ryu holds Miririn in his arms, shielding her from the sun at their backs. He looks towards Krieg, "And as for my request... If you would indulge me... I would value your assistance with applying oil to my back scales. They can be rather difficult to reach, as I'm sure you can imagine..." Krieg responds, "Oh! Yeah, of course, I can do that. Just your back scales?" Krieg and Ryu are sitting side by side on the lounge chair now, Miririn still nestled on Ryu's lap as Krieg has one hand laid on Ryu's back. Krieg is looking towards Sumire who is now floating on their back in the pool, the drink now moved to be propped on her forehead as she floats around. Ryu turns her head to speak to Krieg "...They are rather good at that, aren't they? Do you think she has a unique affinity for water?..." Krieg responds, "I really couldn't say. Felt bad putting my drink there but... I think she's actually enjoying herself?"

A set of photos including Sumire, Miririn, Ryuhiko, and Krieg. (Quick character descriptions) Sumire (she/they) midlander with pale striped skin and blonde hair and horns. Miririn (she/her) Lalafell with black skin and pink hair. Ryuhiko (he/him and she/her) Raen Au Ra with brown skin, strawberry blonde hair, and multicolored scales. Krieg (he/him) highlander with brown skin, dark brown hair, and archon marks on his neck. They are all dressed in swimwear. (alt text) Krieg and Sumire are in a pool. Sumire is resting with a floatie while Krieg stands waist high in the water. In one hand he has a drink resting on the floatie, while his other hand is supporting Miririn who is propped in the crook of his arm. Krieg is talking to Sumire, "You know, when Odette was little we had the same issue. And Hale thought I was ridiculous for suggesting-" Krieg is cut off by Ryu's voice calling out. Krieg, Sumire, and Miririn looking towards the direction Ryu is in, "Archon Krieg, might I borrow you for but a moment? 'Tis only that I require an additional set of hands..." Krieg responds back, "Of course! Let me just-" Krieg looks between his hands, both which are currently occupied. Sumire is looking up at him. Krieg decides to leave the drink propped on top of Sumire's head. A spot more stable than the floatie in the water. Sumire looks strangely content with their eyes closed as Krieg leaves frame, "Thank you, Sumire!"
