Have been thinking about genre ingroup conversations vs outside—well, always, but especially recently, talking to @architamittra.bsky.social about AMONG OTHERS & personal reading histories; everyone has their own path through litetature, and if & when it connects to the larger conversation variable.

Also: Translating manuals is VASTLY different than granslating litetature, poems, and other literary works. You have to respect the source material and translate it as truthfully and artistically as you are able to.

#litetature Iceland. Night Guest. By Hildur Knutsdottir. Fast read. Engaging. I guessed the ending but not exactly as it played out. Tremendous universality in the themes that dealt with relationships between men and women- love to meet her for coffee when I’m in Reykjavík in May!! Congratulations!
