This was a great source for our Luddites episode and strongly recommended if you want more Luddite action
I never know when or why they do this, but the Blood in the Machine ebook is $1.99 right now on Amazon. I can endorse this because the company clearly loses money on this transaction

Never been so glad to live a mostly luddite life.
Cyberattacks hit supermarket refrigeration across Europe, forcing stores to destroy food. Belgium opened a criminal investigation. Danfoss confirmed retired controllers targeted in October were involved again, weeks after a similar attack in France.
Hackers set supermarket freezers to 50°C across Europe
Attackers set supermarket freezers to 50°C in Belgium, Sweden, Ireland, Estonia and Luxembourg using the Danfoss controllers hit in France in October.

I’m not a Luddite but I find myself constantly looking for the lowest “connected” version of the product I’m buying. “How analog adjacent” something is, has now become one of the key determinant factors of every purchase I make 😞

Tolkien appeals to people who aren't Catholic luddite small-government monarchists bc Tolkien a., was making mythology, not propaganda, and b., Tolkien was in touch with themes and emotions most people can relate to, whatever their feelings about kings or industrialization.

Calling me a luddite is a compliment.

The luddites were a workers' rights movement who stood against businessmen who stripped away everything they had in the name of their personal profits.

100% on all counts. I’m a cranky luddite and a tech specialist. People contain multitudes.

I'm not a Luddite, I'm 72 years old and didn't grow up with technology, so give us a break.
What I don't know, I ask my kids.

Honestly generative AI is here to stay, whether you like it or not. And frankly it’s going to be used in animation and other media going forward, so you had best get used to that fact. And no, you can’t Luddite your way out of this anymore the weavers could Luddite their way out of mechanical looms.
