#Medsky🧪 #Oncosky #pharmsky #publichealth #Pancreaticductaladenocarcinoma is a highly aggressive malignancy with a dismal prognosis. It is projected to become 2nd leading cause of cancer-related deaths by 2030 . Metastatic PDAC (mPDAC) is particularly lethal, with a 5-year survival rate of only 3%.

My mind is blown. This an earth shattering (in a good way) result that will have enormous impact for patients, caregivers, and the entire field.

tl;dr this new drug doubles pancreatic cancer survival time. That's still not a very high number, but ...*doubles*.

More than 90% of patients with the most common form of pancreatic cancer, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (mPDAC), have a mutation in the Kras gene. This is called a Ras G12 variant, and results in an overactive KRAS protein.
