Hey all!

I decided to raise money for @/MaskBlocLA! Many of which are disabled and immunocompromised. They are helping people have access to masks! Which is so important due to the fires! All profits from the sale of my Cat Mask Up pins and stickers will be donated.

manning a free mask table tonite— masks recommended but not required show for an artist who hasn’t performed since they got sick in 2021— & matching with the outfit was, in fact, a dealbreaker for a gal. wouldn’t take a mask unless it matched. alas, aesthetic matters whether we wish it did or not.

Who we are: We (MBLA) are a mutual aid organization who distributes respirator masks, covid tests, & educational resources for free to anyone in our community who does not have access to them to the best of our ability, focusing our more direct outreach on communities that are most marginalized. [...] So what’s the fundraiser? ...vendors, a raffle, & silent auction. This will be an in-person event hosted at a space in Frogtown (LA), ...ADA accessible & well-ventilated. The plan is to have a few tables indoors & outdoors to sell things like ceramics, mask chains, charms, as well as host a silent auction & raffle for services/larger ticket items. Our goal is to raise funds in order to keep operations going (purchasing supplies, storage costs) to provide the services described above to our community for free. You are not required to be at the event, nor does your service have to be LA based to be offered as a donation.
