📦 @frtnbach/node-red-contrib-matterjs-bridge@0.8.7

Bumped @matter-server/ws-client to 1.4.0 to track the running matterjs-server (schema 13). @atproto/api moved to devDependencies, unused by the published package.

It took me half an hour to migrate from a matter-server (with around 50 devices) to a matterjs-server, and it workz.

over the past 3 months, claude has the second highest number of commits to the matterjs-server repo and it is somehow more reliable than the old python implementation which is really saying something

'Write “Genuary”. Avoid using a font.'
where I TOTALLY NOT used a font, it first uses Sinkhorn Optimal Transport to find the target locations then injects the particles into @liabru 's MatterJS engine and pure fairy dust is used to "rewind".

matterjs, a javascript physics engine, is the thing doing all of the heavy lifting here, I kinda just copy-pasted a bunch of code from their demos and fiddled with it until it was doing what I wanted: brm.io/matter-js/

(I am not really a javascript understander so I can't help you much here)

I haven't posted my progress for a while now, so I ditched Matterjs and now I'm building a custom Physics engine that lives in the UI thread with the help of @swmansion.com Worklets.

It's promising, but I still have a lot to do.

I decided to let myself be distratced by a game jam for November ( #GitHubGameOff ). Making the 2d waves is fun, as is re-learning #pixijs, #matterjs, #peerjs.

The goal is to make a #p2p #pvp game where you fire cannons at each other. Like Scorched Earth / Worms + Sea of Thieves.

Genuary — Use a physics library

Tried Matter JS, and it was super fun! I’m sure I’ll will get back to it at some point.

In this post, I create a Matter Heat Pump device and wired in my basic power prediction machine learning model.
Tiny Matter Heat Pump
In this post, I try and implement a Heat Pump emulator with Matterjs, running on Linux, namely Ubuntu. This project is very similar to my Tiny Dishwasher, which emulators a Dishwasher and can be controlled over Matter. That project enabled me to better understand Device Energy Management within Matter. I'm going to continue this line of investigation, this time using a Heat Pump.

Building a simple Matter Device Energy Manager

In this post I go through the basic Device Energy Manager I creating using MatterJS. It explores how power forecasting works in Matter and implements a simple optimisation mechanism.

Alright I think I finally have a cool example for MatterJS “game” physics and Skia. I have a busy next couple of weeks, once I am free again I am going to get to work on this 🤔

Ok MatterJS is cool. I think I am going to take a deep dive on this 🤔
