The Vita was a legitimately great handheld, limited only by Sony’s unwillingness to budge from the MemoryStick BS, and their lousy late life support for the device. They screwed that up pretty bad in retrospect.

My stories only got destroyed. 28 books lie interred on a memorystick tomb forever. Unless you are rich or famous your book is unlikely to shine. It will just be torn apart and then buried under an avalanche of AI slop.

The camera was released in the year 2000 and if you wanted more capacity, you could use the Sony MSAC-FD2M Floppy to MemoryStick adapter to boost capacity all the way up to a maximum supported 128MB of storage. Nearly 10x that of a normal floppy disk.

Fucking Sony weird formats! Had to order an "XQD" reader because Sony slipped custom changes on top of a normal Cfexpress card. The Cfexpress card reader sees a card, but it cannot talk the XQD way Sony wants it seems. So, needed to buy another card reader.... Sony didn't learn from MemoryStick

The grey one on the right (DSR-250P) has a MemoryStick slot, but as far as I'm aware it's just for saving settings. If it's like my HD1000, it might be able to take photos that way as well. I haven't tested that yet.

Wikipedia says they made 1GB ones, so it might have been possible.

Yo no creo que fuera ninguna de las dos cosas. Simplemente se veían en una posición muy dominante y pensaban que podrían forzar la mano con su SO y mantener el mercado. A Blackberry le pasó algo similar dentro de su segmento. Y se lo comió Apple. Y a Sony le pasó algo parecido con su MemoryStick
