Dressing the stones recently highlighted sensitivity to the hot weather. When it's hot flour can become pasty at the edge where the stones move fastest. Ian and Rick had to clear out and recut the Furrows and Flys designed to cool and move the flour along. #millengineering #woodbridgetidemillmuseum

Tensioning struts have been delivered. These attach to the Pit Wheel to ensure it rotates vertically, at a right angle to the Main Shaft. If it deviates from the vertical it can cause all sorts of havoc. #millengineering #woodbridgetidemillmuseum
