This only speaks to the $4B annual monetary aid. Trump still agrees to give Israel full military support which is where the real costs, both monetary and human, add up!

Cut the military spending in Israel, end the genocide now!

Having a man condescendingly mansplain condescension should entitle the recipient to some sort of monetary compensation or maybe a no-strings-attached felony
i stopped engaging but another online nerd man jumped in to let me know the first man was not in fact being condescending, that he's seen condescension and knows it when he sees it

The RBA is not worried about more people being unemployed.
The Federal government is not worried about more people trying to survive below the poverty line.

Is this what 'monetary and fiscal policy alignment' looks like?

In the recent Senate Estimates Michelle Bullock, Governor of the Reserve Bank, said she is "not worried" about the rapid rise in unemployment from 4.1% to 4.7% this year that has led to about an extra 100,000 unemployed Australians in our country. That is shameful.

Just a wider sharing here of one of my many completely correct opinions. When music no longer has any monetary value, there's little reason to cherish it or respect its creators.
I'm convinced there's a direct connection between the advent of Spotify and people being unable to shut the fuck up at gigs.

CASCADE CASCADE is pleased to announce that our authors will be paid $300 an article through the end of 2026!

This is extremely exciting for Dan & Cal, as paying writers is simply the entire point. This is literally only possible thanks to their great work & also YOUR ongoing monetary support. <3

I didn't click through. I'm assuming that @gelliottmorris.com read McCandless and Webb (1995) and was struck at how well changes in the size of the monetary base coincided with changes in the price level.

Omg it’s out! Will Bateman ‘s 2026 must-read financial history page turner on the taboo of monetary financing, showing that “the Fed’s support for public investment has been the rule, rather than the exception, over its lifespan”

Why do you need to read this asap?

Yes but the politicians and their unwillingness to commit to real monetary expense by choosing what to buy is the problem.
That’s been put off almost three years and it’s appalling. Make a decision!

So, instead, we get pressure for governments to spend less, even though this completely undermines the argument that inflation control should be left to monetary policy.
