On the way to get some groceries yesterday with my 8yo we passed a friend of mine, also on a cargo bike. I waved hello as we rode by & my kid asked "Who was that?"
Me: "My friend, Phil."
8yo: "Why didn't you say more?"
Me: "Like what?"
8yo: "Like ask about a play date."
Me: "Oh... "
