Important thing to note about the median pro-IP and pro-compulsory education center-leftist is that the only rhetorical stance they can take is a lame elitism that ultimately reduces to noncognitive status quo bias. They can not conceive of some position being both genuinely unpopular and correct.

i agree it is noncognitive, but the image you describe is a meaning, a theory of how it functions in society. i guess part of what i'm saying is "how do i give people the courage to fight narcissists?" is a real and difficult question. i don't think it has an easy answer, or we wouldn't be here
