Me again with a bit more for #WorldOvarianCancerDay and why it’s so important to get it diagnosed early. The majority don’t get diagnosed until they’re at Stage 3 or 4 when the most obvious symptoms occur. And by then it’s already spread into the abdomen. 1/

The pain was mostly after eating, though, so I do understand why my GP and I went down that route.

Early ovarian cancer symptoms can often be attributed to stress (as almost everything is when you’re an older woman ffs.)

I wish I’d told my GP earlier about cases of ovarian cancer and breast cancer in my family. I’d forgotten my aunt’s ovarian cancer. I was entirely unaware of the link between breast and ovarian cancer.

Arm yourself with knowledge of your family cancer history!
