Immediately figured this guy for a Python or ObjC developer
in hindsight the Peak Design backpack should’ve been a pretty clear giveaway

Truly thankful for how readable swift is compared to objc
April 22, 2026 at 12:32 PM
fwiw if you learn objc you're going to know C anyway, because objc is a strict superset of C

Uh yeah objc ocs whatever yeah maybe ? Probably

3.5 óra volt a Claude-dal rendbeszedni egy 2019-es iOS kódbázist. ObjC + Storyboards. Megoldott mindent.

'Codex in Xcode can probably take an entire ObjC project and convert it to Swift on its own'

Alright, bet.

I handed it the classic SameGame codebase, gave it my coding style markdown file, and said "So this is an old ObjC app for iOS. I would like you to […]

Pebble going fully open source is a big win for hardware preservation. ⌚️🔓 But for mobile devs, the real story is in the repo.

The new app is a pure KMP + Compose Multiplatform rewrite.

230k lines (Legacy Java/ObjC) ➡️ 37k lines (Kotlin)
Shipped in 6 months with just 2 devs 🔥
Good news! We open sourced the Pebble mobile app today -> github.com/coredevices/mobileapp Now all the software that powers your new Pebble is 100% open source. Read the full scoop on my blog ericmigi.com/blog/pebble-...

Someone out there still thanklessly maintains the ObjC <-> Python bindings

this week I learned that I’m the second most prolific ObjC readability reviewer at G

and this meme has never been more relevant

All automatic, not a line of ObjC remains. Deprecated APIs were all modernized. 5,400 lines of ObjC became 2900 lines of Swift 5

the masculine urge to reinvent objc

I'll throw out the obvious, potentially terrible idea. If you have a lot of ObjC code, write that in Kotlin/Native and export a minimal API you need to call from JNI (which could just be C instead of ObjC?). Not to complicate your thinking (I like to avoid writing ObjC)

Everybody stand back, I'm gonna attempt to write ObjC code in TextMate
April 12, 2024 at 9:44 PM
swift, objc, AppKit, UIKit -- we have so much rich, performant, powerful shit on our platforms and these nitwits just do this stuff for entirely made-up reasons of "developer efficiency" or whatever

and that doesn't even get into "we need sixteen processes for our chat and voice client"
