#obstructionary
*golf clap* 'No true Scotsman—'

When Israel is being discussed, it is proper to focus on the subject, i.e. Israel. Continually redefining the terms of the discussion is obstructionary.

They’re obstructionary assholes
They’d send their Grandmother to a glue factory, if they bought they’d get a ticket to the circus

if Golden can write *this* in November 2025, good riddance

This is why I think it's foolish to take these hateful political actors at their word. Do not try to compromise because the goal post will always move. Instead we need to build coalitions AROUND them, bypass their obstructionary attempts. No amount of "consultation" will fix it.

So disappointed in the Electoral College. It's a vestigial entity anyway, but if we can't use our checks and balances to check or balance anything it's worse than superfluous, it's obstructionary.

There's a big difference between fighting for change and being an obstructionary nihilist who imposes unobtainable standards on others purely for the purposes of moral superiority.

(I want to be clear that both liking the old, busted flag, and ascribing meaning to flag fringing in service of novel obstructionary legal theories are stupid)

I am grateful to the neighbors who shared their story and photographs, and who showed us how to take a protest and make it less symbolic and more obstructionary.

They're completely opposed to the idea of Chesterton's Fence; that anything they deem obstructionary or annoying might be there for a reason other than some sort of vague concept of liberal blundering

Like idk who’s lazier, the nurses, receptionists, the pharmacists or the insurance company lackeys who can’t be bothered to take down my info correctly or facilitate a transfer. Obstructionary healthcare

Being in the minority is all about performative and obstructionary actions. That’s how voters know you’re against what’s happening!
June 25, 2025 at 11:41 PM
The Republicans sure figured out how to be hella obstructionary when they were the minority party.

the best thing FFXIV could ever do to improve the game is cut almos the entirety of the MSQ leading up to Titan. worst part of the game by far

just once FFXIV needs to let me beat up an obstinate and rude NPC for being unnecessarily obstructionary

Yep. It's not that no one is trying, it's just an obstructionary system. And that goes double if you're working against the interests of the rich and powerful.
August 10, 2026 at 1:51 PM
Even as a regional/minority party, the Republicans could control a sig. number of red states and prevent a governing trifecta in many others. As they've already made a brand of being obstructionary, I don't see this being a big problem. And of course, they could do the same to the US Senate. (2/x)

If you needed any proof that #Murica is in a #BRICS-induced #obstructionary phase of #self-destruction

The Gordie Howe Bridge is fully finished & tested and ready to OPEN. Canada paid billions to build it and gave the United States half for free — BUT the billionaire-owned Ambassador Bridge monopoly and a presidential permit are preventing the new bridge from opening www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2Hz...

Completely understandable.

It's just entirely typical for Wired to put what is ostensibly an Informational Security article behind a pay wall.
*facepalm*
I mean, are they being dense, or gatekeeping?
Dense, or Obstructionary?
On this side of the event horizon, the difference is minimal.

This will moderate. Reversion to mean will be part of it, but also when the shit hits the fan, and it will, Dems aren’t going to be quiet about it. It’s just not the moment to make obstructionary hay right now. Trump will fail on a lot, and we will be there to capitalize.

Strip them of committee assignments? When Sinema *left the party* she got to keep her assignments and still be obstructionary.
August 21, 2026 at 8:25 PM
but but that’s obstructionary!
June 28, 2025 at 2:25 PM
Could it be for the purpose of defeating the narrative that Dems are just obstructionary?
March 12, 2025 at 3:54 AM
All of the people who refuse to take any action — to even make any symbolic or obstructionary gestures — in the face of this do not deserve to be reelected.

Luv: you have to see what the math does
It becomes a major fuckery

A party with a couple of seats can be horrifically obstructionary
