The Southwest received 5-10 inches in areas this week after the remnants of hurricanes Odalys and Polo moved through the region, with New Mexico receiving much of this moisture. The rains helped erase an area of exceptional drought in the state this week.

Polo’s large expanse of rich moisture will be hauled into the U.S. Southwest and Great Plains. Together with residual moisture from ex-Hurricane Odalys, and increasing low-level inflow from the Gulf of Mexico, the stage will be set for several days of widespread heavy rain, with pockets of torrentia

I get the lack of sunshine being frustrating, but a little rain daily would have been okay. Not so much near-constant rain.

We had the remnants of Hurricane Polo (2nd most intense Pacific hurricane on record) cross Mexico & park itself in the state. This was right after the remnants of H. Odalys.
