LRT Lines 1 & 2 to launch Jan 6 in a phased approach. Starting with 5 day service (weekdays) for min. 2 weeks, bus service running parallel. Then 6 days for min. 2 weeks. Then full 7 day service. Amilcar reference many transit systems that have launched in a phased approach.

Kinda heartwarming to see #OttCity councillors using our transit system on the regular. Obviously should be just normal, but still. #OttTransit
Last week it was Ariel on the 14, today Rawlson on the 11. Never know who I’ll meet on the bus!

My first bus has a broken tap machine. I transferred inside a paid fare zone to LRT and inside a second paid fare zone to my local bus.
#OttTransit is quite expensive except when it is free.

If these #OttTransit closures are planned, where can we find the list a month or more in advance? I would have planned a different Saturday if I had known a full line closure was happening. #Ottawa
Due to planned testing for the Stage 2 O-Train East extension, there will be a full Line 1 closure on Sat, Dec 14. This means:
• O-Train Line 1 will not operate all day
• R1 bus service will operate between Tunney’s and Blair for duration of the closure (6 am to 2 am).
• O-Train Line 1 will not operate all day

#OttCity has just announced its Directions for its 2026 budget, and among the forecasts are potential cuts AND fare increases for #OttTransit.
Oh, and a huge increase for police spending that’s almost double the tax increase.
What are we doing? #OttBudget2026
