Nearly a week on Bluesky. Certainly a refreshing change from the last few years on X. Looking forward to sharing lots more wildlife over the coming months and years. #OurWorldIsWorthSaving
New to Bluesky today. Here for wildlife and the environment. A few photos taken in Cyprus earlier this year to get me started. Lesser Fiery Copper, Laughing Dove, Kestrel & Lang's Short-tailed Blue. www.britishnatureguide.com

What a peerlessly fabulous bird is the Peewit. Seems too good to be true that they still breed here.

Thrilled to come across a secret green passage at Whepstead with not only Bee Orchids (Ophrys apifera) but also Common Twayblades (Neottia ovata)!

Glossy, fresh Beech leaves in the brisk #Norfolk breeze, still from the East.
Horse Chestnut candles almost good to go.
Bugloss, the more subdued spring equivalent of that joy of late summer, Vipers Bugloss.

Now the chunky Hogweed (Heracleum sphondylium) is in flower, contrasting with the more frothy Cow Parsley (Anthriscus sylvestris).

My new favourite Mediterranean fish - Caneva's Blenny (Microlipophrys canevae). What style! Needless to say this is the territorial male, hoping to mate...

Don’t understand how these Sessile Oaks (Quercus petraea) & other deciduous trees (rich with lichens) survive so close to the high tide mark, mingling with Common Cord-grass (Spartina anglica) & Sea Club-rush (Bolboschoenus maritimus).

Along with Cowslips (Primula veris), constellations of Greater Stitchwort (Stellaria holostea) are among the great wayside joys of spring, in some places forming a veritable Milky Way to follow along the path.

In June it is the turn of the Roses - Dog (Rosa canina) & Field (R. arvensis) - to be the stars of the hedgerows, though many of their delicate blooms are quite battered by the unseasonably strong winds.

Thrilling flock of 1000s Lapwing & Golden Plover - biggest I've seen all winter - making great writhing shapes against the grey sky & delightfully noisy with it. Between #Methwold Lode & Herringay Hill. Heard several snipe scritching away too. #Ourworldisworthsaving #MyWalk 1/4

Rare breed sheep doing stirling work keeping the scrub back along the Cut-off Channel. Despite the chill, some Alder catkins are beginning to unfurl. Haws still bright for the thrushes. Was treated to a Kingfisher's turquoise zip. #MyWalk #Feltwell #Ourworldisworthsaving 3/5
