Alrighty, everything set up for the #GNOME showcase at the hardware bazaar meetup later. A GNOME OS laptop, a #phosh tablet and phone, all connected with each other via #p2panda (via Reflection as a demo), #Nextcloud (calendar, contacts, files) and #Valent /KDE Connect (notifications, clipboard etc.

Very cool. docs.rs/p2panda-blob...

See also this post from last August about why different tools independently adopting BLAKE3 could semi-accidentally lead to greater functionality, security, and freedom for all their users:

This week we announce Pillow, our collaboration with p2panda! Sammy tells us what it's all about (and there’s a video). Aljoscha details his WTP deliberations. And the pandas share what they've been listening to.

Hui! This is #p2panda doing #localfirst sync over #lora in a #mesh network 🐼 📻

We're experimenting currently with a log-based, replicated delay tolerant / store-and-forward protocol using the RNode transceiver firmware. All very early but fun!

Last talk before lunchtime!

Oh p2panda is still being worked on? That’s a name I haven’t heard in a while 🐼

Managed to get an initial prototype of #Go bindings for #p2panda to work! It's using the new GObject bindings and some new #puregotk improvements I've been hacking on these past few nights. Can't wait to actually build something with this!
April 11, 2026 at 9:28 AM
#p2panda 's GObject library running inside of Flatpak, called from #puregotk (Golang) - and it all kind of just works, including mDNS discovery?

That should make it that much easier to generate new bindings or even generate them during the build, e.g. for something like #p2panda

I've taken an interest in peer-to-peer and CRDT technologies lately. I'm going to poke around with this collection of modules I saw on HN: https://p2panda.org/

Ported DarwinKit (Go AppKit etc. bindings) to macOS 26 tonight and switched the generator from scraping the web docs to just getting it from the SDK locally. Also hacked together a little clone of Reflection (just a dummy, no p2panda here) based on Go.

(This is mostly prep work to do the new Multiplex p2panda-powered protocol right, but it's also useful for implementing the GNOME, macOS (AppKit) and Android (Qt) versions of it from one single code base without duplicating the logic everywhere)
