The screenshot (https://www.popularmechanics.com/science/a69967360/neanderthal-gene-modern-sensitivity-discovery/) reads: The team now wants to know if this lower pain threshold offered up any sort of evolutionary benefit, or if increased pain sensitivity when poked is just another piece of Neanderthal history living in modern humans." My screenshot (made with google translate) reads: "For organisms with limited access to anti-inflammatory substances, heightened pain sensitivity is an evolutionary advantage. Even minor skin injuries can become infected and, in the worst case, lead to sepsis. Increased pain sensitivity automatically leads to greater caution. The chances of not dying from sepsis increase."
