dems winning the senate on this map, under competitive authoritarianism, is a word-historic high bar

let's keep that in perspective
While you're waiting...it's never too early to start challenging emerging narratives downgrading a Dem win.
I also challenge this idea that if Dems win big, it'll be less a "blue wave" than just Republicans staying home. I note that D candidates are winning indys/driving voter enthusiasm (@gelliottmorris.com good on this too).

Charlie Cook engages on this at some length:

Guys. Friends. Fellow libs. … do y’all remember how fucking BAD and functionally UNWINABLE this Senate map looked from the perspective of two years ago?

I thought we’d be lucky to *only lose* one seat. Not “oh let’s just win South Carolina and a bunch of other shit.”

From a real world perspective, this is insane levels of personal spite and incredibly embarrassing.

From a hater/poster perspective, I'm kind of impressed.
As I report here ...
- Stevens told numerous high profile Dems last night she was voting for AES
- staff was literally waiting at the unity rally thinking she was about to arrive
- even key Dems who are similarly skeptical of AES are baffled and aghast

from a global perspective it's quite terrible to have OpenAI CEO Sam Altman existing
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says having RAM in personal computers is a ‘terrible’ use of limited resources and that it would be better utilized in data centers

"From a global perspective it’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their computer"
