I’ve just learned that the collective noun for a group of pheasants is a bouquet.
And I’ve learned this thru a train announcement.
My train is delayed because one ahead hit a bouquet of pheasants that were flying, causing the overhead power to fail.
Only in the UK.

me and my sibs used to collect all the dead animals we found in the woods (+ our chickens and pheasants that died), named them, and buried them in a massive graveyard in the forest under stones. we would hold a solemn funeral for each and sing amazing grace
please delight me with your most on-brand story from your childhood

mine is that I quit Cubs after two weeks because it clashed with Coronation Street

Follow us if you knew pheasants aren’t native to the UK. They’re bred and released in their millions for one reason: to be shot.

Follow us if you didn’t know pheasants are factory farmed in the UK. Most people don’t.

I'm delighted on behalf of the train announcer who knew the collective noun for a group of pheasants, and probably couldn't believe their luck that they got to use it in a sentence today 🥰

That explains how the blocks of stone were lifted into place by pheasants. I'd always wondered.

The oil on their feathers is highly flammable, once used for high-quality lanterns in the past. Based on Golden Pheasants and the Vermilion Bird. Pheaspark transforms into this in battle while holding the "Pheasparkite".
