Het heeft vannacht eindelijk heerlijk #geregend en ineens zie je dan weer slakken en naaktslakken. Het huisje van deze #wijngaardslak (Helix pomatia) is zo'n 4 cm groot.

And an anatomical 3d model can be turned and tossed of course. Plus rendered in all different kinds of ways.

I wonder how this creature ended up labeled as a Roman Snail (lat: helix pomatia). #biodiversity #forestbathing

An actual photo of me (Edible snail (Helix pomatia)) coming out of my seasonal depression hybernation with the first hit of vitamin D

Also from this woodland walk. The second two (Helix Pomatia, the Roman or 'edible' snails famous in Burgundy) were in the darker, cooler part of the reserve. It is lovely to see them in their natural environment, crawling happily over moss 💚

Don't step om my elephants!

They're not, of course, but have that super tusker feeling. They're hermaphrodites and probably woke as hell.

They are an invasive species but very cute. Too cute to eat.
It's not in the 🇳🇴 culture to do so, so they are safe - for now.

#ArtAdventCalendar #birds Day 23: is a Snail Kite. Though very rare/endangered in S. Florida, it is quite common in Argentine marshes. It seemed that I saw more in 2 days than are in Florida! Note its bill, specialized for removing Pomatia snails from their shells; Entre Ríos Province, Argentina.

To create a reliable anatomical 3D model of an animal, one must dive into scientific literature. Existing drawings are secondary sources at best (especially in this day and age) and should be treated as such.
