This villa was abandoned by the end of the 4th century, when the Roman world was already showing signs of collapse, and in Hispania even more so. Emerita Augusta was able to keep it together for a time, becoming for some time center of the postroman Iberia’s; maybe this villa didn’t get the memo

Pengwern: while the overall territory is usually known as Pengwern, it is uncertain whether this name was applied to all of it, being as it was the name of just one fort.
