In case you’ve been following along with my potholder creations, they are now all available on Fybe!

Ignore the fact that my shop is hella plain because my potholder are very silly! I will also shortly be adding a whole bunch of bags.

haha no, it's physical media.

I have a thrifted potholder I screen-printed Sarah Michelle Gellar's face onto.

My prof was like, "good job elaborating on the commodification of generic beauty" and I was like, "Sir, this is a vampire slayer!"

Museum-quality in a couple thousand years.

Lmao. Yeah I am at the potholder stage but I think it will click eventually

...I guess this is Hallowe'en appropriate? Because this is a bit creepy.

i.e. Look at the image on this potholder I just found. What's going on there? Yes, Santa Claus, I understand that bit--but those other three figures? Why are they all wearing pillow-case masks over their faces?

I wish you nothing but the best in this endeavor! When I briefly took up crocheting years ago, I just couldn't get it to 'click' in my brain and every project I started ended up being a potholder. 🫠

"Pour A Little Sugar On It"

Any more than one or maybe two sends a person straight to the sugar shock shack.

The other day I learned that every piece of crochet work you've ever seen- every potholder, every bobble-top ski hat, every sweater, every odd color choice thrift store Quinceañera doll- is handmade, because crochet cannot be automated.

I think that's kind of lovely.
Depending on the yarn and fibers, a hand-knit sweater can be uniquely beautiful in a way that's not easily replicated by machine-made counterparts. Hand-knitting can result in a slightly uneven texture, which adds visual interest to an outfit. Machine-made knits can be quite flat in comparison.

Is there somewhere that recycled pots and the potholder trays? Must Google. I have far more than I will ever need now. And of course yesterday when repotting a house plant do you think I could find a pot of the right size to go in the ceramic pot I'd earmarked for it 😤

*chirps in delight, darting over to examine the half-finished potholder*

<pretty! griffon? what is?>

*follows as the kind mage reaches for something else, flickering with excitement*

<dolly?>

*hums softly, reaching out with a filament to lift a strand of the doll's hair*

<keep? have? can?>

he's making a nice knitted square showcasing a black cat with sings. Maybe it'll make a nice potholder?

I think someone out there really needs a sloth doing yoga potholder
Are you looking to add a little silliness to your life? Do you wish your potholders sparked joy? If your answers are yes, check out the silly little potholders I’ve made!
Alright friends, my Fybe shop is now open!

I am still working on a logo and header, so the shop is really plain. Right now I just have potholders available, but I’m working on a bunch of other practical use items made with silly little fabrics!

You're right.. If they didn't listen the first two times, then why would they listen next time? Once is fluke but twice is a trend.. their course remains fixed. It's bizarre.. to keep burning your hand on the same pot again and again, but never pick up the potholder next to the stove?

“Oh, this is my yarn.” Chuckling to himself, he picked his crochet needle back up. “Don’t worry, it’s not a weapon.” He spoke, ensuring that Curisity wasn’t spooked. “Here, watch.”

Careful not to rush, he continued on his latest project, a griffon-shaped potholder.
