I think nintendo as a company is too prideful to positively acknowledge a romhack by taking up the offer to use the text files from the fan translation (for free, no less!) but they're probably also aware any translation they do themselves would be controversial among fans.

I mean… That actually sounds rather realistic? Being too prideful to tell people you need help, but also resenting those people for not NOTICING you need help? I’ve definitely met people like that.

There's something so wonderfully pure about a girl that rotten (the rest of the narrative is an endless display of her crimes). Don't you feel a kind of malicious affection for girls that trashy? Empty-headed, violent, jealous, prideful, ambitious but lazy, lusty, thieving. Living only for herself.
