Those which spontaneously caught fire then blew up after efforts to save them (or scuttling - I am looking at you, HMS Glatton) is a separate list.

None of these involved any other ship/enemy action.

Several of these wrecks are protected, too. #ProtectedWreck

A game of spot the difference on the #ProtectedWreck Hazardous. Images show the same area of the forward hold, one from 2019 and the other 2025. There has been no archaeological excavation in this area, all natural. #Archaeology #NavalHistory #MaritimeHistory #Shipwrecks

The trestle-tree we recently found on #ProtectedWreck Invincible is likely to belong to the main fighting top. Why? Well, we also found the main and preventer stays in 2019. Newspaper articles from March 1758 report the main mast was cut away. #NavalHistory #shipwrecks #Archaeology #MaritimeHistory
