I think a large part of this that there's this sense that the provincially minded broke whatever implicit truce existed and are now attempting to burn down universities because they had to see a gay person on TV.

I'm voting who can win too. I support Trudeau but I'm a leftie. In Ontario I think we should all swing @maritstilesndp.bsky.social if we can. I live in a true blue area. It's frustrating because even when we could beat the Cons we split the vote. The last Fed election here the NDP could have won.

I definitely have become a lot more cosmopolitan chauvinist in a way that I know is sort of problematic, but I just don't see any way around it. If you allow the provincially minded too much autonomy they inevitably regress and start trying to burn witches, they need minding by their betters.

Once school sports stop, the government will quickly reverse their discriminatory policy out of sheer embarrassment, just like they did with the book ban.
