Here is the Spotfin Lionfish (Pterois antennata), a beautiful fish that you do not want to touch. The spines are poisonous. This is a Pacific lionfish. It is not the same as the Atlantic lionfish, Pterois volitans, which is an invasive species causing a lot of damage in the Caribbean.

A Lionfish (Spotfin Lionfish) - Pterois antennata. These are so common in the coral triangle. Unfortunately, they are an invasive species in other areas, such as Florida.

For a few episodes in mid season 4 of #StarTrekTNG, Livingston was played by the wrong species of fish (a radial firefish (Pterois radiata), "Devil's Due"⬇️). In "The Drumhead"⬆️, the old Livingston has visibly returned, played by a familiar red lionfish (Pterois volitans) like in earlier episodes.

"Qpid"↘️ is the first late season 4 episode in which the old Livingston (a red lionfish (Pterois volitans)), known from earlier episodes ("TBoBWII"↖️, "Suddenly Human"↗️), has returned. In between, he was played by a radial firefish (Pterois radiata) ("Data's Day"⬅️, "Devil's Due"➡️, "First Contact"↙️.

Livingston 3.0, a radial firefish (Pterois radiata) has its final appearance in #StarTrekTNG's "First Contact". This incarnation of Livingston appeared in only 6 episodes and was then replaced by a red lionfish (Pterois volitans), its regular species, again.

The new Livingston 4.0, back to being a red lionfish (Pterois volitans), is seen much better in its second appearance in #StarTrekTNG's "Qpid". No doubt Livingston 3.0, a radial firefish (Pterois radiata), has been replaced.
