Medchem heterocycles:

Dislike: oxetane (closely followed by oxazole)
Overrated: BCP (yes I know it’s not a heterocycle)
Underrated: THF
Like: Pyrazole
Trust: Piperidine

Why wasn't the deprotonated pyrazole hungry? Because Pyrazolate.

I'm sorry, but I must let you know that as a chemist I thought that was a structural formula for some kind of dipyrazole at first, lmao

Just in time for the new year - we show that you can make either isomer of N-aryl pyrazole selectively from a single TDSO. We really believe in the power of these wacky heterocycles.

10700 with benzene
4200 with pyrazole or pyrazoline
3270 with pyridine
1530 with pyridazinone
1400 with pyrimidine

Iminobispyrazole (IBP) photoswitches: two pyrazole rings can be better than one
We recently demonstrated that suitably functionalised aryliminopyrazoles can exhibit useful photoswitching properties. This study investigates the photoswitching potential of iminobispyrazoles…

Toward Iridium-Catalyzed Asymmetric Branched-Selective α-Alkylation of Aldehydes with Unactivated Alkenes Enabled by a Pyrazole Mediator

A search for fragments was carried out using STD-NMR, WaterLogsy and NOESY experiments. The best fragments were: indole, biphenyl and pyrazole. The authors therefore made several derivatives of these fragments, using an amide linker between the fragments and the hydroxamic acid.
