#querychat
Really cool idea. I'm wondering if and how one could use it to help students transition from the mathematical concepts they learn in econometrics classes to coding & applications.

As a bonus, here's a video of query "pre-defined" views with querychat

New in querychat: multiple tables, chat history, data-dict, and easy extraction of findings into Quarto, Shiny, Jupyter, etc.

querychat is now much more capable beyond just querying "pre-defined" Shiny outputs.

Available for both #rstats and #python.

Free text has infinite ways to be wrong. A grammar or function call doesn't. That's why tool calling and SQL generation (see shiny querychat) get more from LLMs. Constrain the model to a structured response and trade an open, hallucination-prone vocabulary for a closed, testable one.

I'm thrilled to share that #querychat now supports more exploratory visualization powered by #ggsql. We're excited about what this direction can unlock for data scientists looking to curate "tidy" data for others explore. Expect more on this in the coming months. opensource.posit.co/blog/2026-06...
