The RBA is waging class war and the Press Gallery are its spin doctors, @grogsgamut.bsky.social writes.

"We are a low taxing and low spending nation. If you can’t agree to that, then just admit you are an ideological gronk ..."

Every time they hike rates there should be a corresponding reduction in all of their salaries.

2026 shitty Xmas proudly brought to you by the RBA
With the RBA lining up to whack mortgage holders again, here’s the far fairer way to take the heat out of the economy, and tackle inflation. We tax the 1% and rein in their spending on data centres and their obvious excess, don’t keep punching down on mortgage holders.

#RBA to Federal Government:

You're spending too much!

Also RBA to Federal Government:

Get ready to pay unemployment benefits on an extra 50,000 people, while we also hack away at income tax revenue.

Yesterday in Senate estimates, the Governor of the RBA said “We’re not worried about the pace of increase in the unemployment rate at this stage”

The RBA has primed the market for an interest rate rise. But what will it mean for unemployment? | Greg Jericho
Central bank forecast that unemployment might have to move even higher makes it clear how much more the RBA cares about inflation than full employment

The RBA is not worried about more people being unemployed.
The Federal government is not worried about more people trying to survive below the poverty line.

Is this what 'monetary and fiscal policy alignment' looks like?
#inequality #RaiseTheRate #auspol
In the recent Senate Estimates Michelle Bullock, Governor of the Reserve Bank, said she is "not worried" about the rapid rise in unemployment from 4.1% to 4.7% this year that has led to about an extra 100,000 unemployed Australians in our country. That is shameful.

The RBA has just hiked rates to a near 20-year high. This will send living costs soaring and spike unemployment - WHICH IS EXACTLY WHY THEY'RE DOING IT!

It's absolute madness. If our economy can only be saved by making millions suffer, maybe it's time we built a different economy.

Yes. RBA only aide corporate interests.
In my @deepcutnews.bsky.social column I let fly with a bit of anger at the bullshit narrative that takes hold across the press gallery.
